The deal, in plain English.

DropMaterials introduces people who have material to people who want it, and helps them get it there. We’re the routing tool, not a party to the drop. The supplier and the recipient make the arrangement; we don’t own, inspect, haul, or dump anything.
Describe material honestly. Drop only where and what you agreed. Be decent to each other. Break the rules and you’re off the platform.
01The agreement
These terms are between you and [Legal entity name] (“DropMaterials,” “we”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, which are part of these terms.
If you’re using DropMaterials for a business, you’re agreeing on its behalf and you confirm you can. Business owners are responsible for the people they invite to their team.
02What DropMaterials is (and isn’t)
The Service lets suppliers (contractors, arborists, excavators, anyone with excess material) post a load, and matches it to recipients (homeowners, farms, gardens, job sites) who have said they’ll accept that material. It then gives both sides what they need to complete the drop: location, access instructions, contact, and status.
We are a marketplace and a routing tool. We are not a hauler, broker, waste handler, or agent for either side. We don’t inspect material, verify its composition, visit sites, or supervise drops. Every drop is an arrangement directly between the supplier and the recipient.
03Accounts and teams
- You must be 18 or older and give accurate contact details. A working mobile number is required because the other side needs to reach you during a drop.
- Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- Business accounts can invite dispatchers and drivers. The owner is responsible for their team’s conduct on the platform and can remove members at any time.
- One person, one account. Don’t impersonate anyone or misrepresent a business.
04If you supply material
- Describe it accurately: material, approximate quantity, condition tags (clean, mixed, organic, construction, unknown), and anything a recipient should know. Photos are required for some categories and always help.
- Never post prohibited material — garbage, treated wood, contaminated soil, asbestos, and the rest of the list — or misrepresent what’s on the truck.
- Drop only what was matched, in the amount matched, at the exact spot the recipient marked. If the site doesn’t look like what you were told, don’t dump — report it.
- You’re responsible for your drivers, your trucks, and any damage they cause. Carry the insurance your business and jurisdiction require.
- Cancelling a matched drop frees the recipient’s capacity; do it as early as you can, and not as a habit.
05If you accept material
- Only list a site you own or have clear permission to use, and only accept materials you’re allowed to receive there. Local rules on fill, grading, and stockpiling are yours to know.
- Be accurate about capacity, truck access, and the exact drop zone. Keep the zone clear and reachable when a truck is on the way.
- You’re accepting the material as-is from the supplier. We don’t guarantee its composition or suitability for your project.
- Confirm drops promptly and honestly. Report problems through the app so they can be reviewed.
- Pause your site when you can’t take loads. A matched truck arriving to a closed gate is the one thing that breaks trust fastest.
06Conduct, ratings, and reports
Both sides rate each drop. Ratings must reflect what actually happened. Don’t trade, coerce, or retaliate over ratings.
Issue reports go to our moderation queue. We may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove any account or site — with or without notice — for breaking these terms, for safety, or for repeated problems. We’ll try to tell you why.
No off-platform arrangements to dodge the rules, no harassment, no using data from the Service for anything other than completing drops.
07Fees
DropMaterials is free for recipients. Business plans for suppliers are [describe pricing — per drop, per month, or free during preview]. Prices, taxes, and billing terms are shown when you sign up for a plan and can change with notice.
Estimated savings and impact figures in the app are estimates built from typical regional rates or numbers you enter. They’re there to help you decide, not a promise of what you’ll save.
08Your content
You own what you post — site photos, instructions, load details. You give us a license to use it to run the Service, including showing it to the people you’re matched with. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to post, and nothing illegal, private, or abusive.
09Liability and disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is.” We don’t warrant that matches will be available, that material is what it was described as, that a site is safe or suitable, or that detour times and savings estimates are accurate.
You are responsible for the drop. That means property damage, injury, contamination, wrong material, wrong location, and anything else that happens on the ground between a supplier and a recipient. To the fullest extent the law allows, DropMaterials isn’t liable for any of it, and our total liability to you for anything related to the Service is limited to the greater of [$100] or what you paid us in the past 12 months.
You agree to defend and indemnify DropMaterials against claims arising from your use of the Service, your drops, your material, your site, or your breach of these terms.
Some places don’t allow some of these limits; where that’s the case, they apply only as far as the law permits.
10Disputes
Problems between a supplier and a recipient are theirs to resolve; we’ll provide the record (load details, timeline, messages, ratings, reports) to both sides on request and may help informally.
Disputes with DropMaterials are governed by the laws of [State], and [describe arbitration / small-claims / venue terms]. Contact us first — most things get sorted with an email.
11Ending things
You can delete your account any time from Account → Data. We can suspend or end accounts as described under Conduct. Sections that by their nature should survive (liability, indemnity, disputes, your content license for completed drops) do.
12Changes to these terms
We’ll flag meaningful changes in the app and update the date above. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, delete your account.
